To calculate your cancer risk and create an individualized prevention action plan, here are a few risk calculators:

MyCancerIQ (MyCancerIQ.ca)

  • Designed by Cancer Care Ontario (CCO), My CancerIQ is a website that helps you understand your risk for cancer and what you can do to help lower that risk.
  • Note: my cancerIQ does not tabulate risk based on race/ethnicity, but looks at many relevant risk factors and is standardized specifically for people living in Ontario. It is a good resource.

The Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool (www.cancer.gov/bcrisktool/)

  • The Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tool is an interactive tool designed by scientists at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP) to estimate a woman’s risk of developing invasive breast cancer.
  • This tool tabulates cancer risk by including race, but is meant for people who live in the United States, and so does not apply to a Canadian, but can still be informative.
